Worship Team Auditions

More Than Music

More Than Music

At Orbit Church, worship is not a genre. It’s not a vibe. It’s not preference.

It's our whole lives to God. Romans 12:1 tells us to “offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable act of worship.” That means what happens on a Sunday platform is simply an overflow of what has already been surrendered Monday through Saturday.

When we lead worship, we are not performing. We are submitting.

If you are considering auditioning, we want you to approach this prayerfully. This is not about being impressive. It’s about being faithful.

Our Vision for Worship at Orbit

We envision a future where people find peace and develop purpose as they worship in a way that is:

Authentic

rooted in genuine surrender, not image

Excellent

prepared, skilled, and intentional

Engaging

inviting the whole church to participate

Contagious

spreading joy and hunger for God beyond Sunday

We are building a culture of:

  • Musical excellence
  • Strong memorization and preparedness
  • Fluency in tools like the Nashville Number System
  • Diverse musical expressions
  • Clear biblical understanding of what worship truly is

We want worship leaders who understand that excellence is not perfection — it is preparation motivated by love.

How We Think About Growth

How We Think About Growth

Some of what you’ll see in the audition process may feel intimidating. That’s okay.

We are not looking for perfection.
We are inviting you into a growth process.

If you don’t know the Nashville Number System yet, are you willing to learn?
If memorization feels difficult, are you willing to grow?
If you feel nervous, are you willing to trust God and take a step anyway?

We want to walk with you as you explore and develop your God-given abilities.

This team is not about showcasing talent.

It’s about forming disciples who serve with skill and humility.

A Multi-Generational Vision

A Multi-Generational Vision

We also believe the future of worship starts now.  We envision raising up:
  • Young musicians
  • Future songwriters
  • Emerging worship leaders
  • Even kiddos discovering their gifts early

We want Orbit to be a place where people are discipled, trained, and released into a lifetime of worship.

Let's Raise a Hallelujah!

Whether you are brand new or highly experienced, this is an invitation into community, growth, and service. If you feel something stirring in you, take this step. We look forward to hearing your heart — and your sound.
